Management
and staff at the Good Shepherd Retreat would like to extend a warm welcome
to you. As this is a retreat centre we would appreciate it if you would
take the following requirements into consideration during your stay with
us.
Groups and
individuals:
Ø
Please
respect the privacy of Sediba Mountain Retreat. This is a completely
separate centre, mainly for silent retreats.
Ø
Please
also respect the other groups at our centre, particularly those who are in
silence.
Ø
It
is essential that the youth are supervised, especially in the pool area.
Quiet should be observed after 22h00.
Ø
We
would appreciate it if, as a group, you complete the guest evaluation sheet
and hand it to reception on departure.
Ø
We
would appreciate if, as a group, you fill in the guest information form as
soon as you take positions of your rooms and hand it to Manager on duty.
Ø
Please
inform the kitchen staff of any dietary problems.
Ø
Please
do not feed the monkeys and baboons as they become nuisance and this may
result in them having to be shot.
Rooms and Meeting
rooms:
Ø
Please
ensure that on departure, the beds are stripped and that all the sheets and
towels are folded and placed on the beds with the pillowcases.
Ø
Keys
to be left in the doors.
Ø
Please
only use candles during a power failure.
Ø Please treat our centre as
your home. We ask that you take care not to damage our property during
your stay.
Ø Any breakage or damage will be
added to your account.
Lights:
Ø We ask you to please turn off
all the lights when you retire for the evening, as the lights being left on
unnecessarily results in a high electricity bill.
Chapels:
Ø
Please
enjoy the peace and quiet of our chapels. Sand boxes are available for
people wishing to place candles on the chapel floor.
Ø
Please
ask the Manager on duty to show you our shop, we stock toiletries,
souvenirs, cold drinks and sweets.
Ø We trust that your stay will
be as comfortable and as peaceful as possible. Please do not hesitate to
contact us should you require any assistance.
